License Agreement

Last updated: 29 October 2026

This agreement is between you and Maciej Schulz ("we"). By installing or using Citrus you accept it. If you do not accept it, do not buy or use Citrus. See the Terms of Sale for what applies after purchase.

1. Licence

After you buy Citrus, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it on Macs that you own or control, for personal and commercial work. One purchase covers one person. Companies need a licence for each person using Citrus.

2. What you may not do

  • Sell, rent, share or publish Citrus or your download, or remove your copy's identifying information.
  • Copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer Citrus, except where applicable law allows it despite this clause.
  • Remove copyright or trademark notices.
  • Use Citrus to break the law or infringe other people's rights, for example by converting files you have no right to copy.

3. Your files

Your files stay yours. Citrus works on your Mac only and saves results as new files next to the originals. Citrus does not alter the originals. You are responsible for backups and for checking converted files before you rely on them. Some conversions are lossy by nature (for example JPG, HEIC, M4A, tracing to SVG).

4. Updates

Updates within the same major version are free. We may change features, and some formats depend on what your macOS version supports.

5. Ownership

Citrus is protected by copyright. We keep all rights not granted in this agreement. Citrus uses only components that ship with macOS (such as ImageIO, AVFoundation, PDFKit, afconvert and textutil) and contains no third-party open-source code.

6. Warranty and liability

Citrus is provided as it is, to the extent the law allows. Consumers keep all statutory rights regarding conformity of digital content, and nothing here limits them. Otherwise, we are liable for intentional harm and as required by law, and not for indirect or consequential losses such as lost data or profit, except where the law does not allow this. Our total liability is limited to the price you paid, where the law allows.

7. Trademarks

Mac, macOS, Apple silicon, Finder and Liquid Glass are trademarks of Apple Inc. Stripe is a trademark of Stripe, Inc. Citrus is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple or Stripe.

8. Ending the licence

The licence ends automatically if you break this agreement. Then stop using Citrus and delete your copies.

9. Law

This agreement is governed by Polish law. Consumers keep the mandatory protections of their country of residence.
