Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

The controller of personal data on this website is Maciej Schulz. Contact: splitterone@icloud.com.

2. In short

  • The Citrus app collects no data. It works offline and sends nothing anywhere.
  • This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card details.

3. The Citrus app

Citrus converts files on your Mac using tools built into macOS. The app makes no network connections, has no accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising. Your files are read from and written to your own disk only. Results are saved as new files next to your originals. Some conversions briefly use a temporary file on your Mac, which is deleted right after. The menu items "Support & Contact", "Privacy Policy" and "Terms & License" open pages of this website in your browser; the app itself does not load them.

4. This website

  • Hosting. The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. Like every web server, it processes technical data such as your IP address, date and time, the requested page, and browser type in server logs. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in delivering and securing the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • No cookies or tracking. We do not use cookies, analytics, or advertising tools. Fonts are not loaded from third parties.
  • MacNative badge. The footer shows a badge image loaded from macnative.io. When it loads, your browser sends your IP address and browser details to that service. Clicking it takes you to their website, which has its own privacy policy.
  • Links. The "Buy" button takes you to a Stripe payment page. Other websites are governed by their own policies.

5. Purchases

Payment is processed by Stripe. Depending on the checkout, Stripe or its Link service may act as the merchant of record for your purchase. Stripe collects the data needed for payment, tax and fraud prevention (for example name, e-mail, billing country or address, and payment details) and is responsible for that data under its own privacy policy. From Stripe we receive only what we need to deliver the product, give support, handle refunds and meet our accounting duties: usually your e-mail address, country, amount, date and transaction ID.

Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legal obligations such as tax and accounting law (Art. 6(1)(c)). We keep accounting records for as long as the law requires, in Poland usually 5 years counted from the end of the tax year. We do not sell your data.

6. Support messages

If you write to us, we use your message and e-mail address to answer you and handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We keep correspondence for as long as needed to resolve the matter and for the statutory limitation period of possible claims.

7. Who receives data

Netlify (hosting and file delivery), Stripe (payments), and, where needed, our accountants and legal advisers. MacNative receives technical data only through the badge image described above.

8. Transfers outside the EEA

Netlify and Stripe may process data in the United States and other countries. They rely on safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses, as described in their own policies.

9. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest, to data portability, and to withdraw any consent you gave. To use these rights, write to splitterone@icloud.com. For data held by Stripe or Link, you can also use their tools to request deletion.

You have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, uodo.gov.pl. You may also contact the authority in your own country.

10. Children

Citrus and this website are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

11. Security

The site is served over HTTPS with security headers. The app has no online features, which removes most risks. We publish a checksum of the download so you can verify the file. To report a vulnerability, see Contact.

12. Changes

We may update this policy, for example if we add features. The date at the top shows the latest version.
