Convert CAF to AIFF on Mac, offline
Need to turn a .caf file into AIFF? Citrus converts CAF to AIFF right on your Mac, offline, using Apple's own engines. Nothing is uploaded to any server, which matters for client work, private photos and contracts.
What to expect
Both CAF and AIFF are lossless, so the audio is identical after conversion. Only the container and file size change. Choose the sample rate (44.1, 48, 88.2, 96 kHz and more) and bit depth (16 or 24) in Citrus.
How to convert CAF to AIFF
Open Citrus from the menu bar (the citrus slice icon). Drop your .caf file, or several, into the window. You can also drag a file onto the menu bar icon to open the quick wheel. Choose AIFF as the output format and adjust options if you want, like size, quality or resolution. Press Convert. Your new files appear next to the originals, and the originals are never changed.
About the formats
CAF: CAF is Apple's Core Audio Format, a flexible container used by Logic and system tools.
AIFF: AIFF is Apple's uncompressed audio format, equivalent to WAV in quality.
