Convert M4V to WAV on Mac, offline
Need to turn a .m4v file into WAV? Citrus converts M4V to WAV right on your Mac, offline, using Apple's own engines. Nothing is uploaded to any server, which matters for client work, private photos and contracts.
What to expect
Citrus pulls out the audio track and saves it as WAV. The video is not touched.
How to convert M4V to WAV
Open Citrus from the menu bar (the citrus slice icon). Drop your .m4v file, or several, into the window. You can also drag a file onto the menu bar icon to open the quick wheel. Choose WAV as the output format and adjust options if you want, like size, quality or resolution. Press Convert. Your new files appear next to the originals, and the originals are never changed.
About the formats
M4V: M4V is Apple's MP4-style video container, used by iTunes and Apple TV.
WAV: WAV is uncompressed audio and the standard for recording and editing. Files are large.
