Convert MOV to ProRes MOV on Mac, offline
Need to turn a .mov file into ProRes MOV? Citrus converts MOV to ProRes MOV right on your Mac, offline, using Apple's own engines. Nothing is uploaded to any server, which matters for client work, private photos and contracts.
What to expect
ProRes files are large, often 5 to 10 times the size of H.264. Make sure you have the disk space. Set a smaller, balanced or best quality level, or pick a target file size.
How to convert MOV to ProRes MOV
Open Citrus from the menu bar (the citrus slice icon). Drop your .mov file, or several, into the window. You can also drag a file onto the menu bar icon to open the quick wheel. Choose ProRes MOV as the output format and adjust options if you want, like size, quality or resolution. Press Convert. Your new files appear next to the originals, and the originals are never changed.
About the formats
