Convert MP4 to HEVC (H.265) MP4 on Mac, offline
Need to turn a .mp4 file into HEVC (H.265) MP4? Citrus converts MP4 to HEVC (H.265) MP4 right on your Mac, offline, using Apple's own engines. Nothing is uploaded to any server, which matters for client work, private photos and contracts.
What to expect
Citrus re-encodes with Apple's video engine and can change resolution, for example to 1080p, 720p or 480p. HEVC saves about half the space at similar quality. It plays on Apple devices and modern TVs, but some older software can't play it. Set a smaller, balanced or best quality level, or pick a target file size.
