Convert ODT to DOCX on Mac, offline
Need to turn a .odt file into DOCX? Citrus converts ODT to DOCX right on your Mac, offline, using Apple's own engines. Nothing is uploaded to any server, which matters for client work, private photos and contracts.
What to expect
Citrus uses macOS's own text engine, so simple documents convert well while complex layouts may differ in Word. Formatting from complex templates, tracked changes and advanced tables may differ after conversion.
How to convert ODT to DOCX
Open Citrus from the menu bar (the citrus slice icon). Drop your .odt file, or several, into the window. You can also drag a file onto the menu bar icon to open the quick wheel. Choose DOCX as the output format and adjust options if you want, like size, quality or resolution. Press Convert. Your new files appear next to the originals, and the originals are never changed.
About the formats
ODT: ODT is the open document format used by LibreOffice and OpenOffice.
DOCX: DOCX is the Microsoft Word document format.
