Convert PSD to JPG on Mac, offline
Need to turn a .psd file into JPG? Citrus converts PSD to JPG right on your Mac, offline, using Apple's own engines. Nothing is uploaded to any server, which matters for client work, private photos and contracts.
What to expect
Citrus converts the flattened composite of the PSD. Layers, masks and adjustment layers are not kept, so keep the original PSD for editing. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas become a solid background. JPG is lossy, so the file gets much smaller. Use the Quality slider or set a target file size and Citrus finds the best quality under that limit. Resize by percent or pixels, crop, and choose whether to keep EXIF and location data, all before converting.
How to convert PSD to JPG
Open Citrus from the menu bar (the citrus slice icon). Drop your .psd file, or several, into the window. You can also drag a file onto the menu bar icon to open the quick wheel. Choose JPG as the output format and adjust options if you want, like size, quality or resolution. Press Convert. Your new files appear next to the originals, and the originals are never changed.
About the formats
PSD: PSD is Adobe Photoshop's layered document format.
JPG: JPG (JPEG) is the most compatible photo format in the world. It opens everywhere, but it is lossy and has no transparency.
