Convert RTF to DOC on Mac, offline
Need to turn a .rtf file into DOC? Citrus converts RTF to DOC right on your Mac, offline, using Apple's own engines. Nothing is uploaded to any server, which matters for client work, private photos and contracts.
What to expect
DOC is the legacy Word format. Use it only if the recipient needs it; DOCX is better otherwise. Formatting from complex templates, tracked changes and advanced tables may differ after conversion.
How to convert RTF to DOC
Open Citrus from the menu bar (the citrus slice icon). Drop your .rtf file, or several, into the window. You can also drag a file onto the menu bar icon to open the quick wheel. Choose DOC as the output format and adjust options if you want, like size, quality or resolution. Press Convert. Your new files appear next to the originals, and the originals are never changed.
About the formats
RTF: RTF is a simple rich-text format that keeps basic styling and opens in almost any editor.
DOC: DOC is the older Microsoft Word format. Use it only when someone needs legacy compatibility.
